I have a Neotec NT-25E that was working great for years in a Cruis'n Exotica conversion.

Recently, it started "rolling" horizontally, after being powered up for a few minutes. It almost looks like a loss of sync, or a HFREQ problem. If I adjust the H Hold knob on the remote board, I can get the rolling to slow way down, but the picture is still off and unstable.

I pulled the chassis and installed a cap kit, and replaced the flyback with a new one from Arcadecup.

Although the picture now is nice and crisp, the horizontal problem still remains.

Does anyone know what this could be? I read that IC401 on the chassis could be the problem (an LA7851), but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Thanks!

I haven't fixed this yet, although I am back to working on it.

I can't believe 3 years went so fast .... ;)

BUMP. Did you ever fix this?

Did you solder the remote board pins

and the pots is good?

Confirm the wires to the connectors on the main board have been soldered

its best to just solder them.

My experince its not likely the ic for the roll

Be sure to mention exacting what you have done.

The manual has a electrical flow of the H.S

Testing the dc or with a O-scope will let you know where the issues starts

if its not right at pin 1 or not pin 2 or 8.

its important to have the correct fly if it gets replaced.

resoldering the h.s pin on the header and confirm you have good dc there

along with a good sync pulse.
