Well I can reply to my own thread now. After I took a break from this monitor to work on other games, I finally came back to it. Update on some information:
It is a Neotec NT-2515C 25"
After extensive searching through other threads on this monitor, I fixed the problem. This is how and what I learned in case anyone else stumbles across this thread in the future.
My monitor was completely dead. No noise from the degauss and no b+ voltage. No signs of life.
Fuse tested good.
I tested D101 (Bridge rectifier) tested good.
The HOT tested good.
The thermistor tested good. ( I learned how to test a thermistor, which is good to know.)
I saw no signs that the flyback was bad, but many people said a lot of the originals failed so I got a new one anyway. The replacement from Twisted Quarter was slightly different from the original. The wire colors are different, but you match the thickness of the wire and not color. The support screw hole is off from the original, so it wasn't used.
At this point, I tried to turn on the monitor again. Nothing happened as before.
Reading more threads:
I tested the filter cap. It was good.
The diodes all tested good.
I bought a cap kit from Ian Kellogg (John's Arcade). The only problem I had with that kit was my neck board is different than the one the cap kit has a diagram for.
Luckily almost all the caps were still the same. There was only one missing C924 which I had to buy separately. C920 was not used on my neck board and the kit had a cap for it which I did not use. The main board also had an extra cap included in the kit not used by my board and there is one cap sandwiched between the flyback and the frame that's a complete b***h to get to. Just FYI.
I also heard about IC101 being an issue. So I bought 2 of those as well. (1 spare)
Installed all of that and voila!!!
So again, New flyback, cap kit, and IC101 is what I did to get it working. Hope this helps someone else with a Neotec NT-2515C
