So i have a mame cab (yes sorry mame )

Anyways.. it has a Neotec 2702 inside
was working fine when i first got it.
has some fuzz and scanlines..
was told to adjust the screen knob..did..and then the monitor went to hell and died.

had a faint ticking sound only..

was told it could be fuse or flyback..

well i just got the new flyback put in.
and the fuse looks good.
and the guy helping me out said it doesnt seem to be a cap problem...

any ideas?

when we plug it in.. it only has that faint tick..
like its trying to start but cant :(

thanks

replace the hot and see what ya get.

ive read about that being a problem..

but i thought the HOT was part of the flyback?
which i just put a new one in..
where do i get a HOT and is it monitor specific?
or a cap?

haha sorry ima nub

EDIT:

I looked it up..and i think from what i gathered this will work for the part?

I'm not sure how close it is to the NT-3501. On the 2 of them I recently repaired I found the same problems. Reflow the solder joints on all connectors and the large diodes that are looped up off of the board. On the 3501's one of the large diodes is between 2 400 volt mylar capacitors. Usually one is split down the side and that shuts the HV down. Another is around the power section right next to 3 or 4 electrolytics they are usually cooked also.
