Look at the HV caps the brown caps.Location maybe C423,C419 etc
I don't have a chassis in front of me,but on any chassis they are easy to find.
Most of the time they are not shorted, but look bad, swollen alittle or cracks
in them,i test them with ohm meter or cap checker and they test good.
I use a o-scope on the HOT collector and can see them failing or breaking
down under load.
Not always just one sometimes all of them.
If you have good b+ and heater voltage which means you have
some HV but maybe not enough,in some case's when you turn the set off you can
see brightness for a second. Had some last week doing this on the 2701 and 2702
AS i walk thru the Hvcaps one at a time and looking at it on the scope i could see the waveform getting better and better and my P~P voltage.
And some of the caps did look over heated, but i ended up replacing all three.
Let us know what you find.

did you try a fiddle with the shutdown pot setting yet?

neotec 27e

No I havent fiddled with the hv shutdown yet not too familiar with this type of monitor what steps should I take?

Are you losing high voltage or is picture just going out ?
A shorted color driver transistor on the neckboard can cause
a dark or sometimes no picture situation if you still have HV.

re neotec 27-e

The neck tube was lit the picture would just fade away i fiddled with the pots one toward the front and nothing happened then I fiddled with the one towards the back and the neck glow shut off.I turned pot back to were it was but I cant get monitor to lite back up when I power it up I can hear the high voltage sound like its powering on but no neck glow.I probably blew some of the caps not sure.I am not very familiar with neotec monitors I have repaired many wells but this is my first neotec
