I have a neotec 27e in a rush game that was blacking out.I replaced the flyback and recapped the board.Turned it on adjusted the screen and picture was perfect played game for a little while then monitor blacked out again. The monitor neck is lit,I am stuck I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Look at the HV caps the brown caps.Location maybe C423,C419 etc
I don't have a chassis in front of me,but on any chassis they are easy to find.
Most of the time they are not shorted, but look bad, swollen alittle or cracks
in them,i test them with ohm meter or cap checker and they test good.
I use a o-scope on the HOT collector and can see them failing or breaking
down under load.
Not always just one sometimes all of them.
If you have good b+ and heater voltage which means you have
some HV but maybe not enough,in some case's when you turn the set off you can
see brightness for a second. Had some last week doing this on the 2701 and 2702
AS i walk thru the Hvcaps one at a time and looking at it on the scope i could see the waveform getting better and better and my P~P voltage.
And some of the caps did look over heated, but i ended up replacing all three.
Let us know what you find.
