beep on a neotec usually indicated a shorted hot.
COuld be something else killed the hot. COuld be it was bad to besgin with or the wrong one..
Could be you forgot the mica insulator or its damaged/debris on it causing a short.
Check for continuity beween the tab of the hot and the metal frame or holddown screw.
If you have continuity, unbolt it and bent it away from the frame slightly and retest. If you still have continuity the hot or something else is dead, if you no onger have continuity check the mica insulator. SOme hots also require a nylon spacer on the screw head to prevent shorting, not sure if yours uses that type or not.
might be worth taking the time to make sure you dont have a solder bridge somewhere or forgot to clip excess lead off of something( im guilty of that from time to time lol)
