i have a Neotec 2515 that i jacked up myself i believe!

it was missing a color(blue) or wouldn't go to white in the test menu on the game(Area 51) so i did a capkit and when i turned back on i had "POP" right by R430 but think it was the diode right by the end of the chassis pcb next to R430(couldn't find the D #). now i have a very white screen that can't be turned down by pots and retrace lines. it will turn down of course with pot on fly but still will have retrace lines with the picture when turned up at all. i then checked what is says on the pcb at the banded side of that diode(suspect) which is 160vDC....i got 9-10vdc. am i reading that correctly?

what could i have done? i rechecked all my caps for polarity orientation and crossed traces, but no luck! had to mess with something!!!

any ideas?

also, went ahead and replaced the flyback as it was focussing in/out anyway...still light with retrace lines.

nothing??? ideas???

i have read several with this problem also(retrace lines) but no fixes yet??? i am limited on electronics as i just do capkits, flys, and hots but listen well ;)

i reflowed every possible connector/pins/plugs....now i have a horizontal line with no vert deflection............ugghhhh! i think i hate Neotec more than Hantarex now.

Caps in right?

Like C920 the 10uf 160v?
make sure theres no shorts on the neck board
on the 160v video B+

sounds like your missing your Video B+ it comes from the fly
check R526 2.2 ohm .5watt
if D502 doesn't check shorted then just replace
R526 if open.see if the 160 comes back.

ok thanks...i test those but don't know where to test the 160v? is it at that diode next to the fly? it was what popped but still physically looks ok and im sure when i capkitted, i did something wrong....i assume!

yes at the band side of d502 for 160v, is the diode bad or not..
its either shorted or open
and the resistor r526 is either open or reads 2.2 ohms..
