Have an empty defender cab that was converted to a NeoGeo at some point (its gutted so not sure how many slots it was)
Have read that NeoGeo is the same as Jamma but with a difference for a second speaker. I have been unable to find a NeoGeo pinout to compare to standard Jamma.

Could I just plug in a Jamma board and have it work?
Anyone have the differences, or a NeoGeo pinout to compare, or should I just put in a new Jamma harness.
Want to make it a Multi Williams so it is somewhat restored.

Thank you!!
Looks like very few differences to change. I'll just cut the few wires that are different (Audio, Test, etc) and rerun them. That way if the Harness is ever needed for a NeoGeo again there are only a few splices to make.

OR

instead of hacking the Neo Harness
I have another completely gutted Defender that I could put a Jamma harness in with the Multi Williams, and put a 150-in-1 Neo cart in the already Neo wired one (but would need a NeoGeo PCB) Do the Neo Multi cartridges use the LED counters in the Marquee ,not sure what they are for just that Neo cabs have them.
Guess I have more research to do,
Damn options!

you can buy adapters to plug any kind of jamma board into a neogeo cab on jammaboards.com, I havent tested them myself.
