Picked up a Dynamo cabinet about a year ago but never really did anything with it. It's an HS-5, wired for JAMMA with a Neo Geo MVS 1-slot inside. Paid $175 for it which was probably more than it was worth.

I should probably mention that this is my first project! The cabinet was ugly as hell so I decided to paint it up in the familiar red.

Best before shot I could find.

The guts, which need a definite cleaning at some point.

Wells-Gardner K7191, needs a cap kit.

Bare MDF with 80-grit on a palm sander, nice and smooth.

Elmer's Wood Filler used on one of the small "dents" in the MDF.

My workshop! You can see the stripped CP as well.

First coat of the red - got the color codes from a restoration post on Neo-Geo.com. Behr Ultra semi-gloss.

I'll be posting more pics as I keep going.

The Kaneko control panel with a single button makes me think this was a Gals Panic at one point later converted to the Neo Geo/Bust-a-Move that you got in there now.

Anyway, good job so far!

That is going to look nice all cleaned up.

I've got a 4 slot board I'm hoping to put in a dynamo cab someday when I come across one locally.

After all of that work I would still try to find another control panel cause its going to be easy to throw a multi cart in there after you find a control panel a more suitable layout.
