There is a new Neo-Geo MVS cart out there... a 161-in-1. It looks like the additional games may be worth it for some as it includes Super Dodge Ball and Magical Drop 3 (plus a bunch of boots of course).

Metal Slug 5 and Windjammers remain mysteriously absent.

My guess is that it's identical to the 150-in-1 cart but with 11 more games...

Google "Neo-Geo 161-in-1" and you'll find plenty of links out there (mostly from Asia). Excellentcom's price is $67/cart + ship but I've seen em for about $58/cart + ship at one or two of the Google links.

Yeah, just searched. I'm always hesitant about Asian sites. You never know if they are legit or if the product is what it's described to be. It does look like the usual yellow multicart as you said. Well, 11 extra games is cool I guess.

I'm not going to bother with this version. There isn't enough "new" to warrant an upgrade for me... especially since I already picked up Super Dodgeball separately.

If they ever get Windjammers I'll probably bite as my cart is buggy... it works great once it warms up but crashes for about 5 minutes or so when you first fire up the cab.

I agree. I honestly don't own a 150-1 or any other for that matter. I don't like that you can't turn off games (hacks and such) and the game selection screen is pretty horrid. Also, like you said, they are missing games that we both feel are worth having on the list. Windjammers is awesome. I hope you find a working cart.

Probably a stupid question, but what's the best cart in terms of original MVS game selection and least bugginess?

My new to me Neo Geo only has a 16-in-1 cart and it would be nice to upgrade.

120 or 150-in-1 are good carts. There's a list comparing the games found on each multi. Search "Neo Geo multi game list"...I think that'll find it.

I like the 138 in 1 myself. It has better games and the option to edit the list. (I'm still going to buy one from you Bryan, just wait :p)

I didn't know Windjammers was that sought after, or that Super Dodgeball was that rare. Guess I should consider myself lucky to have them on my AL1.

The negative is the long long load times and the fact you have to put a PCB between the harness and the MB...

The extra PCB shouldn't matter. It does have some compatibility problems.
Does it really take longer to load. I have one that I'm not using but I've never compared load times. I figure it always feels like it's a long load time.

Load times for the 150-in-1 are just about zilch... just a reset and you're there...

So yeah, there is a big difference.

Do they come with the extra pcb? I thought these were just plug and play carts.
