I've got an MV-1 board that is having some sound problems. When I plug in a game, the volume is very low. Adjusting the volume slider has no effect. When I do a sound test via the menu, it works fine.

I should mention that the game I'm trying to use is a 138-in-1. Any suggestions? Clean the contacts? Or do I need to recap the audio section?

You can try using electrical contact cleaner to clean the vol. adj. slider. I had a 1 slot that the slider didn't want to adj. the vol. and that worked. If that doesn't work, I'd recap the audio section. Depending on your model of 1 slot board, I may have the capkit for it. When I did mine, I ordered enough to do a couple. PM me if interested.

I looked at the battery today, didn't see any leakage. It's just for saving the date and time and whatnot, right? Could I just remove it since I'm using a multicart?

I actually don't know if it can run w/out one. I think it should be fine.
This is now fixed.
