I just inherited a kc-5471 from a defunct pizza parlor, the owner told me the game will freeze after about an half an hour, sure enough, it does just that, can anyone advise me on how to fix this problem, I would like to clean it up and put it out somewhere, Thanks, Gumman

This is posted in the wrong forum, we have a section dedicated to repair questions.

You should clean up all connectors in the cab as well as verify the power to the board. It sounds like something is overheating and dirty connectors are often a cause of overheating.

Are you competent with soldering? If so then you can inspect the solder joints and reflow anything that is suspect.

Any freezing issues I ever had with my NEO was related to dirty contacts on the carts.

I also had purchased an "authentic" cart from that Yaton character (on eBay) that was actually a bootleg, and it would freeze up periodically if it wasn't seated in the slot in a very particular way.

Clean the slots... instructions are out on http://www.hardmvs.com

Clean the carts... disassemble them and scrub all the edge connectors with a pink pencil eraser. No need to use anything harsher.

If that's not it then check the power supply. If the caps are failing in it (split top or plug blown out the bottom) you'll get odd issues like that.
