Tell me folks, that I'm not alone, when I say the bright red with white lettering of a Neo Geo cab just BLOWS!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great system and plays some fantastic games. But- what an eyesore compared to just about any of my other cabs. Even the cpo is rather lame, and dont get me started on the garish marquees! I thought from 'day one' that those marquees looked cheap- like some corporate decision to not create individual marquees for their games, I know, I know- they had more than one, I still think they could've done something better than that.

So after I complain awhile, I like to do something constructive- like change it! Soliciting ideas- somebody out there must've been as disgusted with it as me and done something better! Although I can't find any when i search- quit hiding, you know you hate it as much as I do ;)

I thought black migh be better than the original, though I dislike pure black cabs as well. I'm thinking I might just have to pull out the airbrush and give it a custom job.

Is there any interest in non-original Neo Geo sideart, marquee and cpo? I'm thinking something that kindof chronicles the Neo Geo through it's lifecycle. 95-2005? Something like that...

the easiest solution is put it between two arcades, that way you wont see the side "art" of the neo geo and you'll see the side art of other cabs.

that's a collection of pics of every cab variation. the most impressive is the SAMSHO dedicated cab.

The problem with, and reason for the lack of game specific artwork is that the games can change so easily. i'm sure this was intentional to set the cab apart in arcades and realized that this one machine can have multiple games in it. That was a big deal back in 1989.

there are quite a few full size marquees you can put in, but the common practice is the mini marquees.

as far as a solution you could do a vinyl print of a collection of characters from the games you like i.e. http://cablemodem.fibertel.com.ar/bucanero/images/wallpapers/wallpaper_snk1600_1200.jpg

I didn't like the stock art either.
This was for a Neo-Geo multi game I had.

That's a Williams cabinet, not sure which one. Possibly Robotron.

I actually like the way my 4 slot looks. I am not as much of an artwork junkie as a lot of people here though.

What's up with the South American cabs? They have 8 buttons per player.
