Part it out. Nobody will most likely want that cab if it's not dedicated. Sell the mobo and carts, then dump the rest.
Just wanted to point out that this is not necessarily true. I prefer original dedicated cabs myself but only for the golden era games that I remember from my childhood and that now make up the vast majority of my collection. The Neo Geo system came after my personal arcade memories (in fact, I never saw a Neo Geo MVS back in the day) but I recently decided I really wanted one because it has some great games. I just picked up a 1-slot MV-1 in a conversion cab with a 19" monitor and I'm perfectly happy with it. And here's the funny thing... it was originally a Front Line. And I'm a sucker for early '80s Taitos and already own five of them (but not a Front Line), but I feel no need to restore this back to a Front Line, even though I own a Front Line board set. (Maybe someday when I eventually sell it I'll sell them together to someone more motivated to do restorations than I am.)
So if I'm okay with a Neo Geo conversion I just don't buy that no one else would be.
Oh, and free bump.![]()
I have a dedicated one slot complete with paperwork and identical to the single slot pictured.

thanks for the link never saw 1 before...its the same size as the 4 slot it looked like to me...why not just get the 4 lol...
Ha! I bought this sight unseen and sold my four slot because I thought the one slot would be smaller and a better fit for my apt :Live and learn.
That's still a smokin deal for a working cab and games though. I can't believe no onw has bit yet.
Is the cab MDF or plywood throughout. Also, what is the width of the monitor opening? Wondered if you could cram a 25 or 27 inch monitor in there.![]()
MDF or particle board looks like a bunch of chunks of wood chips smashed together.
Plywood looks like layers of wood. Should be able to tell by the back edge of the cabinet. I'll go look up a standard defender cab to see if I can find out.
Thx for measuring.![]()
so only if you were driving past my house on the way to chicago or somewhere near me. i'm not super far away but borrowing a vehicle these days is like pulling teeth!
i was actually hoping to find a 25" dedicated neo cab. price is always a bit higher than I want to pay. since the weather sucks this weekend, I'll check back with you next Friday to see if it's still avail or if I haven't found something before then.
I wish our area had a lot more arcade junkies. Always a drive to big cities...hence why you haven't sold it sooner. dang Michigan!
