I have a neo geo 1 slot with a xxx in one game. It loses audio volume a few minutes after you turn it on. A restart brings the volume back for a few minutes, but it gradually loses volume until you can barely hear it.

Any ideas?

I've heard and read that the caps go bad on these boards and affect the sound. So you probably need to get those replaced. Im sure others will chime in. Not a hard fix.

If the audio suddenly dies then clean the stereo/mono switch on the board then clean the slots & cart.

If it gradually dies then recap the audio section. I sell cap kits on my website for this.

Usually I would, but I'm not taking on any repairs until after the first of the year. I'm trying to get the shop cleared out so I can get it remodeled.

It looks like it is the caps in the audio section of the board. I am shipping it off to be repaired.

Thanks for those who replied!
