Neo Gee 4-MVS V3 project

yea I believe that the originals were screened on.
Currently no one makes exact replacement reverse masks to respray your side decals.

I would say that this is a product that if someone made an exact replacement... it would sell. I for one would throw down money fast for that.

The other thing to note is that unlike Namco, it's doubtfull that SNK will be shutting anyone down for makeing reverse masks to repair your side art on this one. SNK Playmore is a very different company that barely answers the phone.

I've been thinking of pursuing this project, but it's been sitting on the back burner. I've had too many other art things on my plate. It should be pretty simple as long as I get the physical dimensions correct. I've just never tried manufacturing stencils before. :p

Prairied: Can you kick me down a higher resolution picture of your sides? Yours is way more together than either of mine (both are practically gone). Maybe I can find time this weekend to at least create the vector file. :)

The question I have is, how different are the measurements on each version of the cabs?

I currently have the mini, so I would immagine it is much smaller than the rest, and I had a 6 slot before, and figure it could be larger. But I didn't bother measuring it when I had it.

That would be the kicker for me. I'm not sure if cuts are scalable like inkjet prints, or not, like screen style.

edit:
oh... and sorry if I'm hijacking your thread with these... I just like tossing ideas back and forth

That would be pretty easy. PM me your email. I can help with some of this work but you need a vinyl cutter and the material to do a reverse mask.

It's funny cause I was looking for this thread and I realized that I never went back and updated how I "fixed" the marquee.

It took me a while cause I had searched for a new plastic marquee back piece FOR EVER.

I finally broke down and bought the WHOLE marquee frame on ebay for $100. I got this project for effectively free so I didn't mind sinking in big money for the NOS CPO and a nice marquee w/ no cracks.

I took off the wood backing and jig sawed out every square so that it would back light all five boxes separately and still have some wood to hold the mini marquee holders.

I never touched the sides but I'm really happy with this thing. The monitor, CP and Marquee are like perfect.
