The monitor was freshly capped, but there is a general hissing sound which I will try to make a audio capture for you guys to hear. common for some noise from the monitor?. almost a white noise, background hiss. common or expected?
at first i thought it was a noisy power supply fan.

Joysticks. Is there an adjustment on these?
It seems if moved to the right half way not to limit, it wont release off the switch when it is released and has to be nudged left to go back to neutral..

any good place or recomendation for buttons?
These are the japanese smaller connector versions. they need a lil refreshing. least player one they feel pretty well used, work ok, but not as resistant..

trying to just spiff up my cabinet, This as of now will be my lifer cabinet My regular machine :) and probly with space restrictions my only..

\Thanks all

Well, for my Neo 29 I replaced all the buttons and both joysticks from lizardlick.com. Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks will mount properly, and as for buttons, Sanwa OBSF-30's will snap into the standard sized holes, while the Sanwa OBSF-24's will snap into the smaller start and select button holes.

As for your monitor hissing, are you hearing the sound from your monitor or through your speakers? If the hiss is coming through your speakers, I can tell you that the same thing happens on my machine, though I've always just attributed it to the fact that the cab is wired for stereo and has to go through an adapter when I use it for standard jamma boards...

Hope this helps

yes and no

yes. that does help on sticks and buttons. as for the hiss. I'm 99% sure from the monitor. its quite noticeable when the main door is off and when I stick my head in there. ill try to capture this on a digital hand held recorder which dumps to a wav file. will borrow it from a friend. there is no doubt about the caps being redone. their a nice bright clean blue. there is one spot under the main board mabey soldered a lil to long or something looks like some flux lowed and dried on underside. will get pics and post with audio or your input..

thanks =)
