Needs a few pics - Astron Belt or Galaxy Ranger harness
Another collector e-mailed me some pics a while back of the inside of his Galaxy Ranger game (Thank you VERY much!!!). I really appreciate it, but cannot remember who it was.
My apologies or I would have e-mailed directly. Either way, if anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Unfortunately, I ran into a couple of issues with my Astron Belt and Galaxy Ranger conversion, other than missing a lot of parts (Help!!!!) and need a few more pics and clarifications.
1)
It appears my harness does NOT have the piece that attaches to the switcher. From the looks of it, a harness attaches to the switcher, then connects to the rest of main harness (CPU and sound PCB???) via a molex connector. Can someone confirm that and that only one molex connector is involved?
2)
It also appears the +24v from the transformer gets to the sound amp (then over to the sound PCB) via a molex connector as well. I am guessing the wires from the molex connector connect to the large capacitor, which connectors to the rectifier, which actually connects to the +24v output from the transformer.
It has been a great learning experience, but I think I should have just bought a complete game! Nah... this way two more games are saved.
Still looking for the following (and more):
- Wiring harness
- Bezels
- Monitor surround
- Hitachi/SEGA laserdisc players
- GR sound PCB
- Transformer
