I have, one each, original PacMan and Galaga cabinets that were untested and have sat in my storage for 10+ years. I started with the PacMan unit and cleaned/re-capped the monitor. I added an upgraded, modern power supply and PCB edge connector set I purchased. The unit came to life. I had horizontal and vertical adjustment concerns but those came quickly into reasonable with some adjustments. I then let the unit burn in for about 30minutes and went to the Monitor B+ adjustment and it was 127.7V so I left it alone. I then went to better tweaking for vertical, horizontal, screen, black level, etc. The picture came into a very nice and clear picture. As I played and let the unit burn in, I noticed periodic and increasing screen jitter. I rechecked my work, looked for loose connections or a missed solder joint re-flow, etc. but could not come to a solution until I turned the remote focus control. It seemed knotchy in turning and picture results. Some settings would loose the jitter but focus was off too far. It was a sealed pot but I managed to get some Deoxit D5 down around the shaft and the pot smoothed out in physical operation but lost ALL focus adjustment effects and I was left with a stable but blurry picture. I then robbed the focus pot from the Galaga monitor and all was right. Great picture, clear focus, good geometry, etc. Very pleased with the outcome but now I can't work on my Galaga cabinet because all I have left is a bad focus control...

Internet searches have produced no results for me. I found the part number in the Wells Gardner manual but no joy in finding a replacement. I found some specs at 25MOhms and 10kV, so I tried the usual Digikey, Mouser, Newark parts houses for something generic that met specs, but nothing that fits the bill.

I have seen some, ship from China, flybacks that claim to fit the k4600 and they look like they have screen and focus controls on them. Anybody tried one theses? ***On closer inspection, these appear to be PCB mount and I don't think the data is correct for them ever fitting a K4600 remote mounted flyback.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm sure you'll find in collector circles, or here, a parts K4600 you can rob the flyback from.
