Here is my Issue and my Troubleshooting:

Issue:
K7000 rolling / no vertical hold

Troubleshooting:

- replaced remote board (because touching it causes the rolling to stop until I put it down)
- Cap Kit
- resoldered/flowed Vhold wire from harness on chasis

Test:
Everytime I touch the remote board or add pressure to the connector (old and brand new remote board) the screen stops rolling

At this point I believe the problem is wiring from remote board to the chasis

Need:
where can I find a new harness for the remote board.. or what kind of connector is needed to go from chasis to remote board? I either need a full harness to connect back to the chasis or I need to know the connector type used on the end of the wires to plug into the remote board (and where to get it) so that I can rewire this mug.

Thanks!

It's not technically a "true" harness as the chassis side are just a bunch of loose wired that solder directly onto the chassis.

Sounds like it's definitely the connector. I don't know the size, but maybe Buffet or Security will chime in. I'm guess if you replace and re-pin that you should be fine.

I've had to do this a few times Rick. Easiest to just rob the harness from a parts chassis. That little connector doesn't look fun to hand build. Might consider hard wiring it right to the adjustment board. One other option would be to mount a set of pots right to the chassis, I think the holes are lined up for the pots already.

now that you say that.. when i was desoldering the vhold wire to check it last night it was.. hmmm might as well pull it back apart.
