Dumb question: Is this slot machine referred to as a "slant top?"
And does it use the same electronics as an S+?

I've got one that I'm trading to someone and it needs some work, and I want to make sure he knows exactly what model of the parts to look for.

Its an S+ Slant Top. What do you need other that the reset key switch?

Yes.

Can you give a little more information? Is there a plate mounted on it somewhere that has a model number on it?

Phil

I'll try to get it.

We don't know for sure yet, aside from the key switch it might need a battery, and there's a burnt transistor on the main board so it's possible that might get swapped out too. Right now it hangs on a #12 error code and won't go beyond it no matter what I do, and it seems to me before that it used to hang on the code for a jam even though the hopper seems to work just fine.

Hey RI,

Yup, I'm getting the IGT. Can't wait..:)

From what Andy has told me about the error code I figured the battery is putting out less than 2.9V. I'm assuming much less (completely dead) so I'm gonna need Ram clear and Ram set chips.

I've already ordered a new battery and have a line on the chip sets with instructions. I just want to make sure I'm getting the correct ones hence the question about what board is in it.

I'll definitely take you up on your generous offer regarding the PCB. Thanks man!!!

All together here is what I believe I need to get the slot operational...

Reset assembly with new key
Battery
Clear and set chips

And the board will really help since I don't know what could be wrong with the one in the machine (burnt resistor).

Let me know if I'm forgetting anything.

Thanks

You forgot the problem with the 2-foot wide pick axe sticking out of the control panel....
JUST kidding! :D
