Need Sys11c help......before I throw down 300 to fix them.

Rollergames is finally up and "playing" with a new MPU replacement, but now that I have a booting MPU that will start a game...

No sound. Displays are garbled, but partially readable. I can see bits of high scores and some letters here and there depending on what it's on. Break it down:

Sound Board - D11581-576

Reseated ROMS, CPU, Yamaha chip.
All voltages check out.
Don't know what else to do, have checked Pinwiki and guides and Google search.

Displays - D-12232-1

Got into display test. When it does block-by-block test of all segments in each block, they all illuminate properly EXCEPT 7 or 8 blocks which are lit with junk and don't perform that part of the test correctly. Other blocks will light all segments, but then subsequently display junk or nothing during the game or other parts of the display test.

One problem found. Sound board has an OP-AMP that self-destructed and blew itself in half. I'm thinking that should be replaced. ;)

Do the simple things first . Reset all your cables that connect to he display , also pull and check your display roms and clean the legs and reinstall. And last blow in in the top of the cartridge a few times and reinsert ( the last one is just a throwback joke for the original NES fans) . Keep us posted
