Has anyone tried the new drop of Pole Position? It should behave better but since I don't have real hardware I can not confirm.
Need some testers for Pole Position and Pole Position 2 mod

I am running/burned the new 105 that you uploaded on the 13th
Still not sure how to confirm what rom revision I am running. I went ahead and did a dump of my 105 and placed it below.

If you tell me how to figure out which roms the board set is running I will.
I went ahead and made some snaps of my test mode (see link above). My accel / gas pedal starts at 00 then if you give it some gas it runs through a bunch of different numbers and letters. It does take quite a long time to settle back down to 00. I can imagine that's were the issue still lays for starting a new game. Meaning that once one game is over the gas pedal is still on different numbers than 00 so it just loops to a new game automatically.
I still don't have any high gear and I still have issues starting the game with the pedal.
Sorry it took so long to get back to this. Its a bitch trying to figure out what went down on the machine and why. Then effecting the repair on that said problem anyway you get it and I am back up a running and ready to continue...
Now where is my pp2 board set at... lol

Thanks for the update... maybe I should just put this on hold until I can find someone with a game that will let me hang out for the afternoon and try a few versions in real time. Most of the other mods I have done have been really close in MAME, I guess this one really needs the actual hardware to get it right.

Jason, tonight I burned the latest PPI image from your site. I posted on NEACF, but here it is again for others trying this:
with dips 1,2 & 3 on: freeplay
with dips 1,2 & 3 off: 1 coin: 1play
I then replace the eprom with the original and game returns to normal (yay..my board didn't die
)

- depressing gas pedal does not start game immediately. during demo, I can't start a game. depressing the gas when the high scores show, the game starts
- game plays, but will not allow me to shift into high gear
