I have an American Laser Games Cab,upright 25" and need some pics of the inside. I believe the monitor should be mounted facing up at a mirror on the back wall inside the Cab. Need to know if they added the shelf the monitor is setting on,and if the shelf under it was added as well. And it would be nice to find a picture of the mounting brackets for the monitor and mirror. Also, there is a gap between the back and the bottom of the cab. Believe it or not, this is my Grail game/Cabinet. Thanks, J67AB for trading me cabs.
P.S. I will upload pics, when it lets me.

Quick update, removed shelfs, halfway fixed the gap in the back. It was caused buy the weight of the cab when moving using the wheels, pushed the board they are mounted on up into the cab. Won't happen again, it now has casters on it. and brackets on monitor are on wrong side, quick fix.

Looking at my SubRoc 3d. I believe the monitor frame mounts underneath the cab mounts. Which susks, because that means I have to remove the tube and install it separately. More chance of me nicking the neck.

This is my best guess, until someone post pics and proves me wrong. I when ahead and recapped and replaced the flyback.

Nice work! Looks like you can make out the angle on the side of the cab where the mirror would have gone.

I held a small mirror up to the line inside. I believe I have the right angle. Looks like I need a 2ft by 2ft mirror and some wood to hold it in place, than I'll be ready to rock'n roll

I found a sticker on the bottom panel where the laser disc player would be. It says LG II, so this cab housed Mad dog McCree II Lost Gold.

I have this cabinet. Mine came with the 3DO version of Mad Dog 2 in it so I gutted that stuff and bought all the parts for the laserdisc version of the game. I have Mad Dog 1 & 2 and Crime Patrol 1 & 2...I just need to put all the stuff back together now. I can get pictures of the monitor mounting for you.

Ha...I see the thread that was linked to was mine from 6 years ago. How sad that I still don't have that done. :(

Here are the pics. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. One of these days I need to find some pics of how all the boards and laserdisc player connect in the bottom of this cab and put it back together. It is a favorite game of mine as well.

Do you have all the boards and laser discs for this conversion already? If not, those are going to be hard to find and pricey. Let me know if I can help further. With any luck, maybe we can help each other get both of our cabs back together again. :)

Les, thanks for the pics. I can see your monitor fame mounts on top of the cab mounts. I must have the wrong mounts, I had to mount to the bottom. Would be be able to tell me the size of the mirror. And I see wood under it at the back of the cab. Is that a full wooden Frame? Thanks Travis B.

Sure, I can get you any information you need that I have. It gives me a good excuse to pull it out again and "hopefully" actually do something on my cab. :) I'll get measurements for you and find out about the wooden frame.

Yes, I have ld player, a hand full of main boards, gun boards, two Gen locks, 3 guns, a few hostler and md i,II, crime patrol and 2 or 3 ROM board's.

I bought a 24x20 mirror to test out my angle, and I think I'm good. I reused one of the shelf's that I removed, to temp mount the mirror. Also I did a cap kit the other day, and the picture was still dim, so I did a tube swap be for mounting the mirror. It's a shame, because that old tube had zero burn-in.
I like the way the mirrors mounted now, I thought about leaving it, and finding some corner mounts to keep the mirror in place. If I go that route, I think I'll buy some black Poster board and cover all the exposed area including the mirror. And cut out just the area of the mirror needed. The mirror itself has a beveled edge, so I need to cover that. What do you guys think about that?
