Need some more "for dummies" help with the Space Shuttle...

I can't figure out for the life of me how to use the three switches to get to the solenoid/bulb tests. I even have a copy of the manual and I have no idea what the F they mean by "auto up/manual down" switch and I guess they figured that anyone who needed to know WOULD know...so they didn't put any diagrams of the test switch in the bloody manual!

I can't get my bell to work and trying to figure out why. Found a loose +28V line floating around, resoldered it to the connection where it's supposed to be (After removing BLOBZILLA level of solder from the contact, lol..) but still getting nothing when it's supposed to be ringing as far as I know. :(

The middle switch is your "up/down" switch.

And it's really just a simple switch - if it's "up", push it once and it will stick "down".

If it's already down, push it once and it will pop "up". Make sense?

Now just consider that switch your navigation switch. As you are cycling through the test options (using the rightmost switch) the orientation of that center switch (either up or down) will determine the "direction" you go thru the menu?

Impossible to hurt anything messing with the switches, so have at it. It'll make sense after a minute.
