im going to go pick one of these up for dirt cheap but id like to know if these actually have a arcade monitor and jamma pcb

i really am buying it so i can build a mame rig out of it but id like to know if any of the guts are worth my time
i have a nice jamma cab sans a monitor so im praying the midway cabs are a cga

There is a 13" tv in there. The game board is designed to plug into RCA cables, it is not Jamma. Honestly they are so fllimsy I don't think it will make a good MAME machine.

lol gonna cost me 20$ and gas
oh well ill mame it and sell it to some yuppie out here thats loaded
is it at least standard thickness wood on each side (so i can install tmolding if needed)
at least ill have a monitor for my tatio space invaders jap cocktail now (cant you plug space invaders to a standard composit vid )

...and you'll get exactly what you pay for (a cheap piece of junk).

i cant buy the wood for 20$
and if i indeed can use a composit monitor for space invaders 13 inches is exactly what i need for my space invaders cocktail

so its worth it then for me esp since i can mame it (slap a coin door in it that i have sitting here to make it look somewhat real) and sell it to a yuppie for 600$(hopefully the wood on the cab can suppport the coin door lol)

Would be cheeper just to find an old cab without a monitor in it from the 80's with all that shit in it already. Just my 2 cents. Most yuppies know what polished up turds look like.

No worries, I'll just tell you I told you so later. ;) I hope it works for your needs, just trying to look out for you bro! Have a happy and safe 4th!

Man, those things have a 13"?!?! I realized they look terrible overall, but never could get past the "artwork" to notice the tiny screen.

+100

Dude...if you pay $20.00 for it, you got ripped.

I do believe it's 1/2"-3/8" thick and about a step up from cardboard, not 3/4".

Not to piss on the buyers parade but dear lord those things aren't worth the money to even take to the dump.

i have 4-5 empty cabs here already waiting for mame i just wanted to snagg this thing because it had a monitor and game board and for 20$ i can at least take the monitor fo rmy space invaders and blow the shit out of the cab on the 4th watching it burn is well worth the 20$ lol

and the yuppies out here are still paying 2000$ for 39 in one multi cades so id say i can sell this turd as a mame rig fir 400-500$

can someone confirm that space invaders will work on a standard composite tv and let me know what wire is signal and what is ground on space invaders

ps thanks for the info
does not look like its going to help me with my jamma cab that needs a monitor but at the verry least i can at least get my invaders working again

the main thing is i knew these were crap from the begining(never asked f they were good quaility ) but i didnt know if it was jamma or standard cga and wanted to get an idea of what usable parts i could pull besides the cab and cp thanks for anwsering that ?

one last
?
so i see in the adds they state you can hook up a game console does that measn it already has the plugs so i can plug the controlls into an xbox if so thats a super easy way for me to flip it 10 mins to install modded xbox and sell it for a bill to someone thats not an arcade nazi like most here

We have one at work in the lunch room, and they're not great by any stretch of the imagination, but I've definately played $20 worth of Robotron on that thing over the years...

That is one of the Target machines. Basically a glorified NES on a 13" tv with crappy controls.

The costco ones are built like a real machine. Much better IMO...

Run from the Target one.. you'll never be able to sell it for $600 unless the buyer is blind.

Dayum... I'm a cheapass and even I'd pay $20 for a crappy cab... (Aren't the joysticks and buttons worth that, at least?)

(Then again, haven't seen one of these in person, so I'm sure you guys know what's up)

+1 for garbage.
You would be better off to leave it as is and sell it whole, or as you said use the monitor.
The board is non jamma so it is useless unless you want to hook it up to a T.V.
Still I'd pay $20 for one.

No...they aren't. Garbage. It MAY be worth $20 if you really need a 13" TV...

Those joysticks are so cheap they hurt your hands, especially in Robotron. I played one at Target. The cabinet is short, made for little people, so if you plan to sell it to an adult, you would need to build a base for it.
