Hi,

I just bought a pair of 2049's. I am a pinball collector for the most part, so I am not familiar with vids. One of the Rush's works, but has some odd behavior. The other is not working. Here are the details:

#1: working but...
- when it says to press the petal to select, it doesn't work. You need to use the abort button. I can see the selection cursor change color when I press the gas, but no selection. Later with selections, it says above press gas to press abort to select

- if I don't press the gas when a game starts, it accelerates itself after a few seconds. Is this normal?

#2: was working last night for a little while but:
- now it powers on, but nothing comes up on the screen
- seems to be counting behind on the board, then flashes a lower case u then an uppercase E
- I heard it resetting over and over last night so I shut it down. Today I get nothing now

General question....I see the link cables on each, but where do they go? I plan on ordering a manual so I can configure these, so I should have that by next week.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Chris,
1 - Sounds like your gas pedal is busted (or the input board). The game will accelerate the car by itself if no-one pushes on the gas (thats normal).

2 - First guess (simplest) woul dbe the hard disk. Try swapping it with the other game. If its not that you might be looking at a bad CPU board (I hope not). Thats what happened to mine :(

The link cables are ethernet cables... either plug them into a hub, or get a crossover cable to hook them together.

I think you can get a pdf manual from betson.. (http://www.betson.com/images/cms/amusement/10011001_Rush2049SEUp_man.pdf)

cheers
/Tim
