I have a street fighter 2 ce cab. I was thinking about getting a tekken 4 jamma and kik harness. Is this even possible? Or do I need a bunch of other stuff then just the jamma and kick harness? Sorry if I posted in the wrong section or if this is a noob ??. Thanks in advance guys!

If you have pictures, please post. Yes it should be possible since they are both JAMMA games. Make sure you have everything for your Namco 246 system. *dongle board, mem card, kick harness etc.*

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Ummm..... well....

Here is what I noticed.

1. There doesn't seem to be a kick harness.
2. The DVD drive had been replaced.
3. Not even sure if it even has a game.

Dvd drives have been known to go out on the 246 systems, and from what I've read. The 246's only work with certain ones. Some where on these forums it talks about it, and apparently this seller replaced it. But who knows what is really going on with this game since there is no proof it really works, or even has a game in the drive. It has a security dongle (the mini pcb board) with all the wires except for the kick harness. It also has the memory card. with Tekken 4 vers. D (the latest revision)

If it were me man..... I would pass on this. Tekken 4's show up on ebay quite a bit, and for the price he is asking, you can get a FULL blown kit and have it shown working. In fact do some searches on this site. I think I saw 1 or 2 for sale on here, and one went or was selling for $160 shipped. Post a WTB: NAMCO 246 Tekken PCB KIT.

I got just about everything a couple years ago for a bit cheaper, with free shipping. And the seller showed pics, and didn't have "I wash my hands to stay clear" attitude.

Here is some more indepth info. http://guru.mameworld.info/system246/index.html

I'm going to have to agree with CHALLENGER. The price on those things are just too much especially without all the wiring needed.

I picked up a Tekken 4 / Namco 246 system with a bad DVD drive on here cheap. I just pulled a DVD drive from my stash of computer parts and plugged it in. Worked like a charm.

I'm not saying any dvd player will work but if you have spares one of them should.

Since your going from SF to T4 you would lose 2 buttons. Tekken's use a 4 button layout.

yeah i would definatly like a tekken 4. my goal is to actually make a multicade well not really. I ordered a 6-1 jamma and plan on having sf mk and tekken and ki.. if thats even possible? i know i need all the proper kick harness and stuff.

Yeah be careful with the 6-in one switchers. I have that too, but the one I got was a Chinese POS. The 5th port went out on it, and they have bad reps. Some peeps have found good working ones, or had to basically rebuild them to get them to function properly.

Midway boards are cool but can be very touchy, and I've owned a MK1 and a UMK3 at one time, and anything can set those boards into troubleshoot land.
