So i've been spring cleaning and ran across a big box of NOS wico sticks from a while back.. I can't figure out what the small red ones go to, as they aren't the taito shorts as they don't have the small cut on close to the bottom for the clip..

Also, I've found a mix of what I'm pretty sure are Bubbles and Sinistar sticks.. Are Bubbles sticks a wee bit shorter than Sinistars? Could someone give me a heads up if I have a set of Robotron sticks in the bunch? Also found about 6 sets of Joust sticks.. This is just the first box :)

Thanks for any help!

the ones in the first pic may be defender cocktail sticks. if you have a set of blue and yellow ones that size I may be interested.

if you have more boxes of nos wicos.........

Sticks

The reds arent defender, as I have blue and yellow joust sticks which are the same size as defender.. I have more wicos, but only sticks not bases..

Anyone??

So no one knows what the small sticks go to?? I've got about 4-5 sets of NOS joust sticks available.. Also about 6 NOS Sinistar sticks..Pm me

The one stick with the grey restrictor and the matching one next to it look like they are for early Sega games like Frogger.

The first set or small red ones look like Defender Cocktail joysticks.

This is a Defender upright stick:

Here is a picture of the cocktail joystick assembly:

Note that the c-clip is up the shaft right next to the big washer.

The blue ones in picture #2 are Bubbles optical joystick shafts.

Edit: the red ones to the right of the Bubbles shafts are Sinistar shafts. The two are NOT interchangeable. Bubbles uses an 8 way optical joystick and Sinistar (and Arch Rivals) uses a 49 way optical joystick. Joust and MotoRace USA also used optical joysticks, but they were 2 way.

Thanks guys!

Mystery solved! I'm almost 100% sure the small red ones are defender cocktail sticks!! Very cool. Yes, you are also correct on the bubbles and Sinistar ones too..

Thanks for your help!
