Hey Guys,

Got a Hard Drivin' Cockpit on Saturday and while the game works . . . it needs some minor tune ups :D

Here is what I would like to figure out immediately if possible!

1st. The Brake pedal does . . . nothing whatsoever, makes it kind of difficult to do anything in the game honestly!
2nd. When I picked it up the shifter wasn't even connected to the cockpit anymore. I need to figure out how this thing even goes together! Also it seems to be missing some springs in it.
3rd. The steering seems a little funny when you first start it like it doesn't know you are turning the wheel but then once it catches it seems to be good, I don't know if this is normal or not!

If anyone has information on this that would be extremely helpful!

Thanks

The transmission fluid is probably low. Seems like once it warms up you are good to go... :p

Is the led on the brake pedal pcb lit?? It not check all the fuses theyre notorious for voltage drop causing all kinds of headache. If the led it lit and fuses check ok go into test mode-calibrate controls and recalibrate it. Itll have you do everything at once learn the brake, seat position, shifter, steering i think, etc.
Wait till the game has been on 5-10 mins before doing the calibration. Its normal for these to have a non-working or weak brake until warmed up.
BTW if you become good at the game the brake is rarely needed anyways. OOH one last thing there is another screen"disable broken controls" make sure someone hasnt simply disabled the brake.

Hmm.. the only spring i remember in mine was for low or reverse or something... but some of these had an electromagnet on the bottom to make the shifter feel more realistic. It would release when you pressed the clutch making it alot easier to shift gears Seems it was a popular thing for ops to unhook when it quit working. Post some pics.

You likely need a new steering pot. Its kind of a fancy one. Of course try toe recal first you might get lucky or blast it with some contact cleaner like deoxit
