Hi gang,

Looking at picking up this cabinet. But I am looking for confirmation that it is an original KI cab. The nintendo logos missing on the sides of the CP kinda threw me... What do you think?

These are the only pics i have to work with atm:

Thanks in advance for the help!

need to see the bottom half of the front, coindoor and sides will tell the story. it looks like it is but without seeing what the front coindoor area looks like i can't say for sure. if the first picture was brighter on the bottom i could tell you.

Edit: yes i believe it is, i saved your first pic and turned up the brightness and the side is 2 pieces. I'm almost 100% positive it's dedicated.

OT it's in rough shape, but hell it's a KI dedicated who cares. if it's 250$ or less and on the other side of the country i'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.

requesting a coin door pic for you.

Unfortunately its a craigslist "whoever comes to get it first" kind of thing, so I may end up having to jump on it and ask questions later.

no need, i'm almost 100% sure it is, see my last post i edited it.

the red box i made in pic after turning up brightness is the dead giveaway.

Here you go :)

So did the "Nintendo" label on the side of the cp just vary from model to model? Or should i start looking for replacements? :)

don't think there was any difference in the "nintendo" on the side of the CP, meaning i think there's only one.

the arrow in my picture points to the red rectangle, if you look at it theres a faint white line, that line is from a piece of T-molding that's on the side of the cab. it's tough to explain, basicly the coin door is built out a lil farther. if that wasn't there it would definitely be a conversion.

hope this makes sense.

it was late last night that should have read "if it were 250$ or less and not on the other side of the country" sorry

600 sounds a little much, as it looks like there's something wrong with the rear door.

Unfortunately, I very seldom see these cabs in Southern California, so I wanted to jump on it. At any rate it's craigslist so its not contractually set in stone. If theres something terribly wrong with it that I cant easily repair, I can just not give the guy my money ;-)

600 is too much for a tekken 2 no matter what cab it is in. If it was a KI, still, that would be a good price. The nintendo logo was probably painted over during the conversion.

It is a KI. The guy bought it as a Tekken convert, and put KI back in it. It's just the marquee and instruction labels on the glass that is still tekken. Although The tekken pcb comes with it ;-)

Ah, nice. My tightwad nature would make me haggle it down, but it's not a bad price as KI's go. From the looks, you will need to replace the marquee and the front glass seems to have lots of scratches. Good luck. It is on my list to grab one day.

yup i'd nab it up, especially with a working KI board :D complete win.

Fortunately, most of the sideart scratches are on the black areas. So I can probably touch up most of them with a pen.

I thought the rust colored stains around the screws and buttons on the CP was rust, but now that I've taken up the plexi, I think it's coke or something.

The Nintendo decals are under the paint on the sides of the CP, except one side where you can tell the decal was torn.

The back door is fine, except that the other owner lost the key, so its screwed in (though taped in in this picture)

The metal running above the CP needs a repaint.

Security holes drilled into the CP. Unless I end up replacing the CPO, I doubt I'll bother filling them.

sexy!, damage on the back doesn't look bad at all, i'd say get a new cpo, plexi, t molding and marquee and your golden. back door can be fixed for about 6-9$, nice score!

that cp should clean up pretty easily tho even if you don't get a cpo get some new plexi.
