Hi all,

Just picked up an Elevator Action that's had the monitor removed. Can anyone help me out and let me know what kind of monitor belongs in there so I can begin my search?

Hi all,

I know for sure that game works on a standard resolution chassis and monitor, so basically you would just need to know the bracket size in the cabinet. Bet its a 19" monitor. So really anything 19" (if it is 19") standard resolution(CGA) monitor will work.

Now be aware if the monitor is older it will probably need a Isolation transformer, unless the cabinet still has one. It will blow components and fuses if it does not have an iso.

However, there are some newer CGA chassis and monitors out there that don't require it.
I could suggest http://www.8liners.com/parts.html they carry some cheap 19" CGA monitors. New and Used.

Yeah confrimed, supposed to be in a traditional Taito cabinet. The 19" Monitor would mounted horizontally. Is it in the original Taito cabinet? http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7700

Does it still have that metal mounting bracket inside where the monitor would go?
And how about the original power supply? If it still has a working transformer you won't need an ISO. If its gone or dead you will need an ISO.

Thanks for the help! It is the original Taito cab. I haven't gone and picked it up yet. I did see it when it was operational. I am not sure if they took out the mounting bracket or not.

This is my first free game!

I'm gonna actually go pick it up probably today or tomorrow and will have more info then.

Yup. I have the mounting bracket and the powersupply/transformer. Guess I'm set.
