This is a DK/DK jr/ Mario Bros. machine. When I checked it out it worked fine a little blurry when I got it home it is pink with dark pink lines (see pic) if you shake it is looks like the second pic. I opened the back and checked the grounds etc. but since Iam new to this I could not buy a clue!!! so for the help

pics did not upload but check your rgb and sync to the monitor.

try and give the game a credit and try to start a game. Do you hear game sounds? If you do then the board may be fine and we are likely either looking at a connectivity issue between the board and monitor or a monitor issue. If you do not hear game sounds then I would guess the issue is in your power supply or board. My guess is the power is a little low and the board is not booting. The issue you mentioned before where the monitor was blurry is likely just an adjustment that needs to be made on the monitor. most likely the focus pot. I'm not familiar with the Dk, Dk jr, MB board but I believe it may be jamma.

yes you can here and play the game very hard to see but its there. thanks

I would start by powering off the machine and carefully disconnecting and reseating the connections to the board and the red, green, blue, sync, gnd connector that goes to the monitor. It also looks like you monitor has a satellite board for adjustments. If that board has quick disconnect type of connection I would also make sure that is connected well as this may also cause issues.

when I unpluged it from the board (top) a folded up piece of paper fell out, i think it came from behind the board. I looked at the plug is there expose to be the little metal tabs on both sides of the plug where it snaps on to the board?

don't know what the blue thing is but it's not uncommon for some spots that are not used on a harness to have no pins in them.

I was thinking maybe it was spacing or putting pressure on the board or plugin?

could have been I suppose. If so I wouldn't think that would be factory and would make me suspect some pins might not be making contact well. Which could explain your issue. If you have a multi meter to test continuity you could test connectivity between the board and the connector that brings signal to the monitor. Of course without knowing the pin out you will have to ID the correct pins first. And of course all this should and can be done with the power off as there is no need for it and with it on there is a risk of damaging something or injury if you are not familiar with these machines.
