I recently picked up a Skeeball model S. It will start a game and release the balls but will not lock all the balls until the 9th ball is played and the game is over. The ball lock coil stays energized until the game is over. Could this be a dip switch setting?

Wrong section.

You appear to be missing the ball count sensor. It is mounted
to that long tab on the assembly you have pictured.

BTW - That's not from a Model S.

Thanks for your response. Any idea where I can get the correct sensor? The game also has a solenoid mounted below the ball trough that was disconnected and is missing the mech. At some point it must have been replaced with the one on top. I see the solenoid is connected to the game but don't see any wiring for a sensor.

Ok, I see what's going on here.

There is no sensor as that is a Model S and someone
hacked in that newer ball release.

Can you post a couple pictures of the CPU and the ball trough ?

I'm wondering how they modded this machine.

Looks like they took out the original ball release mech and replaced it with the one on top. All that remains in the bottom is the solenoid

Hmm. I'm confused.

The Model H and S both used a mechanical teeter-totter
style arm to release the balls. There was no sensor.

You would start the game and the coil energized long enough
to drop the balls then the arm would go back up in place to keep
the balls from returning.

The teeter totter mech was removed and they added the top mech. When I start a game it releases the balls but stays energized (open) until the 9th ball is played. Is there maybe a bad component that is not cutting power to the solenoid?
