need help with remote board

mtg-2901cn is the number on the board... it's the adjuster remote board for the monitor that you can mount on the side of the cab or in the front under the monitor....

the V-Size pot is broken...so the screen is showing about half size...if you touch it, it goes all to hell...the pot has a #14 on it and is completely broken it two...other than that the board seems fine.

Anyone know where I can get a new replacement board or at least where i can get the correct pot to solder in there?

If you come up with the model number of the monitor, I am sure someone can come up with the right resister value for your pot..

Which mean your V position pot is 10k ohms and your V size pot is 500 ohms

You can always desolder the pots and measure them to double check.

Pots can be bought from Bob Roberts. Order them by the value you need:

P1144 - 500-ohm
P1146 - 10k-ohm

They're $3 each....

you are right...it has 52 on it so 5 and 2 zeros? that would be 500 ohm...brilliant! thank you!

does anyone sell just the complete board? i don't know if there is any other damage or not...would not mind getting the complete board.

Probably not any more. They don't rmake the tube Vision Pro's anymore as far as I know. You could ask in the WTB as some people chunk these things when they break rather than try to fix them....

A local electronics repair place should be able to repair it.

It's a single sided board repair should be a breeze to fix.

i can solder the pot in no problem...just needed to figure out which one it was and what i was looking at...but, if i can find a full board, i want to get one...it took a good whack to break that pot in two, so not sure if that is all that is damaged...wont hurt to have a spare, these things cant sell for very much.

You may spend anywhere from $20-50+ for a replacement if you can find one. $3 and 2 minutes may fix it...

yeah i'm going to put a pot in it...just saying if i can find a spare, i'll take it. Maybe someone has one from a dead junker or something...might get lucky.

well i got the parts in today from Kilgers...soldered it in and it took care of one problem...now the one next to it needs to be replaced as well...it wont adjust at all...so all i need to do is find one of the other types for the 14 (10000) and i should be good to go.
