Need Help with my Megatouch Maxx Upright, 2005 Emerald Edition upgrade

I purchased this unit about 2 years ago ,it worked beautifully for the first year with light play in home. At one point a year ago, when I went to turn on the unit I was prompted with a CMOS battery error at the load screen. I changed the CMOS motherboard battery and the error went away. However, with this change in battery, I was still stuck on the opening BIOS screen with error 0271 "Check Date and time Settings." The startup screen states the following:

PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0
Copyright 1985-1997 Phoenix Technologies Ltd
BIOS Version 10.83 27th November 1998
CPU=IDT CPU 200MHz
0000640K System RAM Passed
0031744K Extended RAM Passed
0512K Cache SRAM Passed
Fixed Disk 0:QUANTUM FIREBALL CX6.4A
ERROR
0271:Check Date and Time Settings
Press to continue, to Setup

I could not figure out how to hit "F1" on a touchscreen so I opened up the unit and tried plugging in a keyboard into the keyboard port on the motherboard, but it was unresponsive. I am not sure if I was doing it right, or if you need a special keyboard for the computer to recognize.

Can Anyone help please

You have to have the keyboard plugged into the port before you turn on the game so the game recognizes the keyboard. Then you can set your bios settings, make sure you go into the power settings and scroll down to A/C recovery to power on. Good luck....

If the lights on the keyboard don't flash during the boot up there's a chance you may have a blown fuse on the keyboard port by plugging it in with the power on.

Some motherboards use a 1A Pico Fuse.

Got it working.... But

Now the sound is gone.

Anyone have a checklist of what to do if there is no sound? (I've tried adjusting volume)

There's a little red plug that goes into the corner of the daughterboard. Make sure it didn't get tugged out, thats the speaker wire. Follow it back to the speaker and make sure both wires are still attached.

Keyboard should be going into the plug thats closer to the edge of the motherboard. It'll fit in both plugs and only work in one.
