I'm trying to find replacement bulbs for my coin door and marquee for my Galaga mini. I'm having a hard time finding the CORRECT bulb, as the high voltage makes #44/#47 burn out pretty quickly. I need a bayonet base that works at what, 12v? 14v? and is the same size as the #44/#47 bulbs. I've tried going it on my own on the HAPP Controls site and ended up with a bunch of giant bulbs that won't fit, as well as some bulbs that are the right voltage but are wedge bases. I have to call them to return all these wrong bulbs, what the heck bulb should I be getting?

Not sure. Haven't orderd from Happ in many years. Bob Roberts has them.

I think 1815s and 1816s are very similar in specs to 1813s, though. The '15s and '16s draw a little more current, so the should be a little brighter than '13s (and run warmer, too). Perhaps Happ stocks one of those instead.

You could use any T3 1/4 size bulb (and perhaps other size/shape bulbs) with a miniature bayonet (BA9) base, rated for 12V more greater (but not too much more than 12V, or it might be too dim). #1813 happens to fit the bill, and I'm sure a number of others would too.

I know an 1815 or a 1895 will also work.

An 1895 will certainly work *electrically*. The only possible issue is that it's a globe-style bulb (vice tubular), and is bigger around than the others (it's a G4 1/2, vice T3 1/4). It may not fit in the same hole... (some coin door lamps go through a little hole, not sure about the OP's Galaga).

The bulb sizes are in eigths of an inch, e.g. 3 1/4 is 3.25/8" or ~0.41" around (~10.5mm). A 4 1/2 is (at its largest) 4.5/8 = ~0.56" around (~14.5mm).
