i not sure what your problem is but i have some misc. parts for this pin. are you looking for anything? thanks and good luck!!

Game Plan used a Ni-Cad Rechargeable battery on the MPU board. If it hasn't been removed or replaced by now it would have eaten half of the board up.

In the settings/diagnostics of the machine there is a place to set the high score. Go into that and reset the high score to some reasonable number, the manual is pretty easy to follow for that. If you do not have a battery, then the high score will not be saved, and the next time that you power on you will get junk. I replaced the battery with a "memory" cap and it worked fine, and there is no worry about leaking acid.

where do you get a memory cap and is there a certain one i need?

Try replacing the batteries as mentioned. If you still have the same problem and the display is good (able to show player score but not high score) I would suspect the 5101 RAM or it's socket are bad.

I picked up the memory cap that I had from Jameco Electronics, they are more tuned to the hobby end of the electronics business that most of the other distributors.

The best place for electronic parts for pinball machines is Great Plains Electronics, their part number: CER-1.5F-5V would work well for a Ni-cad replacement. Their website is:

If you want to see the damage an old ni-cad can do to a Game Plan MPU, go here:

It was a fun rebuild and ended up working perfectly. I also had crap for a high score until I went into the diagnostics (read the manual) and reset the high score.
