installed cap kit,new flyback and h.o.t . Monitor turned on but picture was kind of small. I adjusted B+ to 120 but now im getting no picture but i do have neck glow. Thanks in advance

no i tried all adjustments and i get no picture. I still have neck glow and i feel the static on the screen.

I assume this chassis came with this tube?

If you have neck glow and B+ of 120, then you should check the connections of the wiring to the back of the focus and brightness pots - with the power off.

If they look okay, pull X701 and see if it comes up...

yes this tube did come with this chassis. I checked connection and removed 701 looks like a transistor i think (3 legs). Powered it up but still the same. Im about to pull my hair out with this thing. Any other suggestions?

You need to check your horizontal output section for open/blown components, bad solder joints, cracked open traces etc...

i purchased this centipede not working. When i pulled out the monitor i noticed the ground strap from monitor tube not connected. After rebuilding the chassis i tested monitor in another cab because my centipede board was out of the cabinet at the time. Monitor turned on but picture was a little small. I figured i would adjust when it when i put it back in the centipede cab. At this point ground strap from picture tube was still disconnected. When trying to figure out where it goes i found a loose and burned connector on neck board .The solder apeared to have burned off on male connector almost coming off. I assumed the ground went there. So i resoldered and connected it before reinstalling monitor in my centipede cab. At this point there was still no board in game but i fired it up to adjust the B+. A little while later installed board and i had no picture. I removed monitor and installed it in prior machine where i tested it and still no picture. My main question is did i connect that ground in the incorrect place on the neck board to cause this problem and if it was the correct place for it to be plugged in to ,Would it being burned originally be the cause

Sounds like you put the ground in the wrong place. The G07 neckboard has a two flat pins (one on each side of the socket) where the wire from the tube plugs onto it. it is not normally soldered on.

Now, there ARE a few wires that are direct soldered to pins on the neckboard - for the colors and sync and video ground - and if you connected your dag wire to one, it could have caused a problem.

You may need to replace the IC now. What is the B+ reading?

what i had to resolder was a flat pin. I looked at someones g07 today and saw the ground connected to the flat pin by the c107 i connected mine to the flat pin on the other side of the neck board. My B+ is 120

here are some pics. I still have 120 B+ but monitor is completely dark no diffrence even if i adjust brightness all the way

First of all thanks for your help. I verified the connections at the next point and they all checked out fine.

Still not fixed. I would apretiate any other ideas . Having an easter party next and id really like to have this working. Thanks

thank for the offer but i just purchased another chassis. Ill tinker with it some more when i have time in the future.

well i purchased i working chassis from a board member here and i finally was able to play my centipede. I just received a pomona 2900a high voltage probe i purchased on e-pay and decited to give it a try on the chassis from this thread. Im getting 14,000 volts at the anode with the monitor on .Is this voltage to low?
