Monitor came in a centipede i purchased not working. Installed a cap kit and a new hot and removed solder and resoldered connections on e1 to e6 and j1 to j3. Now monitor turns on and i get a picture but it is sideways and constantly moves up and down. Ive tried messing with the adjustments but does not help.

It is possible that your color and sync wires are in the wrong position.
Color wires start from right to left. red green blue ground. next the 3 pin plug from right to left should be ground, sync, sync. Unless all your sync's are in the 6 pin plug then they would be after the ground wire. I believe your game is neg. composite which they will be in the 3 pin connector, if the game is pos sync then they will be in the 6 pin connector.
If everything looks good then check if pin in plug is crushed and not making connection. Also check your edge connector pins. Maybe they need contact cleaner sprayed on.
Check transistor around sync plug and compare to the others and see if one is bad. some will be npn and others pnp transistors.
Try adjusting horz pot and vert pot?

I turned on the monitor again to try some more adjustments. It turned on for a few seconds and turned off completely except for a purple spot in the middle of the screen. It does not turn on any longer. I just removed the chassis put my dmm leads on across the hot and im getting .087 . I guess it blew out the hot . Any ideas?

No, the hot measures that way when it's connected to the chassis. If you blew the HOT, then the small fuse would be blown, too, and you'd get a big spark when discharging the back side of when the filter cap unloads.

Check the wires connecting to the back of the focus and brightness pots. Sometimes they pop loose or are only hanging on by a thread. i tend to see the spots after shutdown most when there is an issue with these. And if one popped off, you'd get no pic.

If you fuse and wires are good, measure the B+ and report back...

connections are ok. As for measuring the B+ ive never done it so i would need to know how and where. I have one more question when i measure the hot i disconnected the wires to it. Are you suppose to set the meter to continuity with the beep or to lets say 200 or 20k

An UR Centipede is a positive sync game, a CT Centipede is a neg sync game.
