Need help with audio & video interference issues

I have been experiencing the following issues which I believe may be related:

1. Whenever the volume is increased after a particular level, the monitor starts brightening/dimming whenever certain sounds are played.

2. Whenever the screen displays large amounts of bright colors (i.e. white) interference can be heard from the speakers.

Notes:

The cab has:

- a new HAPP switching power supply
- both the speakers and the monitor grounds are connected to the same ground loop

simple answer} turn the volume down.

you may want to try a separate power source for the audio and see if the problem is still there. Also I have read where the audio amps and transistors, that are bolted to the board, can cause this issue in some games if they are loose.

Lowering the volume does alleviate the symptoms with the brightening/dimming of the video but there is still the issue of static/interference heard when the monitor displays large amounts of whites or light colors.

One thing I forgot to mention was that there is constant interference coming out of the speaker. The interference is low but audible. This occurs with all the PCBs I connect.

If it occurs with all the boards you connect then I would suspect the power supply or monitor board is the bad guy.
