The first is a G07 that came with a Millipede that I just bought. The monitor was scrambled when I got it, but powered up just fine. So I did the obligatory cap kit and fired it up. Screen looked great, but both Vertical and Horizontal holds were wacky, picture keeps floating diagonally across the screen, despite my best efforts to play with the pots to get it to settle down. So I replaced the pots and still not good. Like I said, after the cap kit, the colors and sharpness of the screen are spot on. I just need to figure out hold to get the picture to just sit still.

The second monitor is a WGK4600 that came out of a Pac-Man. Colors and sharpness were off when acquired. Did a cap kit and the picture sharpness is great, but there is no green/yellow showing. Replaced the green drive pot, but still not yellow on the screen.

Any suggestions on fixes for either would be great. These monitors are driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The first thing I'd check on the G07 is the wiring to the board. I have seen the IDC style connectors develop crappy connections over the years. Once you verify you have a good connection try moving the sync wire(s) to the other sync pin.

As for the 4600, it may be the tube. Do you have a rejuvenator? Have you tried grounding the green transistor in order to turn on the green full blast? If you still have no green after grounding the transistor then you very likely have a tube problem.

Turns out the issue with the K4600 was the plug-in card. Some really bad soldering job was done to it. Anyone out there have a spare one of these?

Every Millipede I've been inside of has two video signal connectors pigtailed together.....one for the oddball Matsushita input connection pinout.....and the other for the "standard" input connection. Maybe you're using the wrong one??

Tested the resistors and they are good. Definitely using the correct video connector as the other one gives me nothing on the screen. Read in the other thread that it might be a Big Blue issue. Any input on this?

Peale, I would in a heartbeat if you weren't so far away (I live in Woburn, MA). If I can't figure this out I might just have to make a run to VT.

Heck, you're close enough...drop it in the mail, 1st class. You're so close it'll get here next day, two tops. Couldn't be more than a couple of bucks to send. I even have like five 4600 accessible to test it in after I fix it. I can turn it around in a couple of days, tops.

Thought you were talking about he G07. Have some spare boards coming for the 4600. If they don't clear up the problem I will shoot the chassis to you. Thanks for the offer.

I'm sitting here scratching my head, wondering why you'd think that...and then I saw that I didn't quote the post that I'd meant to. Oops.

Well, send that along with, then, when you send the G07.
