I've got a Point Blank 2 board that I'm trying to install into my Police Trainer cabinet. I'd like to be able to switch back and forth, so I created an adapter that the Happ guns will plug into on the Point Blank 2 board. I followed the notes detailing which pins do what.

I do currently have an issue with pin #22 on the parts side. As I was soldering wire to it, the tracing pulled up, so I currently have one of those circuit writer silver pens drying on it right now. Before that, though, I tried testing it out on the 2 Player side, but the gun doesn't seem to work.

I went into the test mode to try to calibrate the one connected gun, but it wasn't registering. I went into the switch test to see if the gun was even showing up, and it doesn't even detect the trigger being squeezed.

I took my multimeter to make sure the gun was getting power, and I do show +5vDC on the red wire.

Any ideas? Also, any recommendations as to where to attach the wire for the player 1 trigger?

Ok, so I did some more playing around, and I found that if I take the corresponding wire under the control panel for Player 1 Button 1, plug it into a microswitch, ground it, and click it, the game recognizes it as Player 1 trigger. I tried calibrating while pointing the gun at the screen and clicking the microswitch, and it looks like it worked ok, but when I go into the game, it thinks I'm only firing at one specific spot, no matter where I point the gun.

I surmise that the game board still doesn't recognise a gun as being plugged in.

I do still need help with this, and with previous searches on this forum and Google that others have been successful in converting Happ guns to work with Point Blank 2. At least one person should be able to chime in with an idea or two, right? Please and thank you.

EDIT: Disregard. After PMing back and forth between another forum member with a Point Blank 2 board, I found out that I inadvertently soldered each gun's trigger wire to the board's sensor wire. Oops. Everything works now.
