what does this mean and how do i set it?

step 4: set cut-off

rotate function switch in set cut-off voltage. adjust each g2 voltage control until meter rises one division. use gun selector switch and corresponding g2 control with color tubes.

how do i know what the cut off is?

if someone could show me what to do once i could figure it out forever.. anyone have a vid using the bk470?

Huh? Not sure what part of it you're having problems with.

You just rotate the selector switch to the position marked "SET G2 CUTOFF VOLTAGE", select which gun you want to set with the gun selector switch, then adjust the corresponding G2 knob to get the meter to go up one division.

This is only for getting a more accurate reading of tube strength on the meter - it has nothing to do with the actual rejuvination of the tube. And, after you rejuvinate, you'll have to do it again, since the gun's characteristics will have changed.

Think of it as a "calibration" of the meter to each gun.
Each gun is done individually.

Calibrate
Test
Rejuvinate
Calibrate
Test

I don't have or have ever used a BK470, but the same principals apply to all.

On the meter there are different scales. One scale will have a label that reads 'cut out' or something similar. Move the knob until the needle moves one (vertical) line further up on that scale. That is all it is talking about. The scale is divided into "divisions" meaning that either they aren't consistent differences or the scale itself grows in some other way than linearly.
