Hey guys I'm looking all over for a flyback for a kt 2938f. I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Marking on the flyback read on the front:
764-R338
NF03S

on top:
760-28

Any help would be appreciated

That's awsome thanks a lot!

Before I go ahead and grab that can anyone just confirm that my symptoms equate a bad flyback:

Started off a couple days ago where the image would start to shake. Even with no source connected the "please check imput source" or whatever it says error message would shake. Sort of a zooming in and out really fast.

Connected a computer to it and same thing. However when I had a window open in the center of the screen it would "focus" and the image would stabalize. As I dragged the window towards one of the edges of the monitor or minimized it, the zooming effect would return. I did notice that turning the brightness way up to an unusable level would stabalize the image regardless of window open or not.

Both the screen and focus pots appear to be working (however I did hear a couple crackles a few days back).

I've tried relowing a bunch of solder joints on the chassis and neckboard even though they appear to be fine. I tried switching the "focus" cable to the second focus pot on the flyback... same issue.

I'm going to repeat advice I received here:

Re-flow the chassis boards on the monitor.

I recently had to re-flow a Wells Gardner, and looking at the flyback, all the connections looked bad. I removed the solder, one connection at a time, and then replaced it. I also did all the connectors, and any solder connections that looked weak, light on solder, or dull, and my monitor is back on line.

One of the monitor gurus will need to weigh in with a diagnosis of what you are seeing. It doesn't sound like a flyback to me, but I'm not an expert by any measure of the word.

Just to update this thread I received and installed my new flyback tonight... Works amazing now!

Thanks for all the help
