Need help installing switching PS in a Taito Elevator action

I `have power from outlet... goes into outlet box for interlock, service outlet, AC line set... seems to stop there... can I bypass the interlock and service outlets and just take power from wall and connect up my +12, +5,-5 and grounds? Also it seems there is a 6.3 AC line up to the lights in Marquee, how can i wire that to new power supply, so far this is the most complicated game I have worked on and any help would be appreciated... thanks

I got it... 2nd interlock in coin door

Thanks, No big deal after all and I learned some stuff about Taito games :0

arcadeshop has an adapter to switch to a switcher. with it you will not have to cut your harness.

+100 to that
put one of those adapters in qix for a friend, makes it nice and easy!
i left the transformer attached for 110v isolated for moniitor, and the 6.3v still comes off the tranny for coin door lihts..

In the past few weeks, I have made two simple adapters for Taito power supplies.

It is quick and dirty. Screw a few wires into the terminals on your switching supply and plug connector V1 from the game board harness into the other end.

I will eventually make a little 'Y' plug to tap into the switched AC instead of plugging into the service outlet in the cabinet, but I usually turn my games off with a power strip anyway.

Want one?

How did you deal with the reset and the -12V? I'm waning to build an adapter so I can get my game up for the weekend. Any help?
