Ok heres the deal,
i just bought new 19" Monitor (not sure what the model is) that i am installing in my 60-in-1 Muti-cab. but when i go to hook it up the monitor chassis has a 120 plug in for a wall socket when the other monitor i pull out of the machine didn't. so i think i need to wire it in some how to the power supply? not sure though.

Side Note: there are some other problem when i just plug the monitor into the wall and turn the machine on there is a kind of pluse or small wave that goes threw the monitor but i think thats a voltage problem due to it being plug stright into the wall. and some of the bottom screen is getting cut off i have tried adjusting all the pots on the chassis and does not seem to change any position of the screen just color . but i dont really want to address these problems until i get the monitor wired right.

PS: here are some pics there not good but i can take better one if needed.

I have tried hooking the new monitor like the old one was set up. i cut off the plug in peace and put the white cap that connected like the other monitor but it didnt come on at all so i wire nuted it back the way it was and every thing still the same.

The picture of your chassis shows that it requires an isolation transformer to run it properly. By running it without one (you plugged into a wall outlet, a big no-no) you have damaged it.

monitor

Put the isolation on and see if the problem still is there. usually when people do this it takes out the bridge diodes or,regulator, output, flyback.
I am guessing that your regulator is passing a.c. into the d.c. section.

Ok my Machine has the isolation transformer already intalled. So i found where the old monitor was hook up and cut off the white plastic connecter and wire nutted a extend cord onto it, so now it has a plug inside the arcade machine. It runs through the isolation transformer (By the way Thanks mrbill) i looked over the page at bobroberts and the setup seems to match so i thinks its setup right but the monitor still wont turn on. I know it working cuz i unhooked the marquee light from my Donkey Kong Machine ( it has a simlar setup where the light and the monitor has a plug outlet inside the bottom of the machine so im sure is the same concept) to it and when i turn the machine on the DK Marquee will light up when the machine is on and shut of when i turn the machine off. but when i hook my monitor up to it nothing happens maybe cuz i damaged it by pluging it stright into the wall :( or does it need to be running a certen Voltage? anyway im making some progress my friend is bringing a voltage meter over so i can test the voltage and tell you guy what its running at.

PS: Thanks 4 all the Help

Did you put your new monitor into a Donkey Kong , Nintendo cabinet ? The Nintendo cabs are setup to run lower voltage to the monitor , because the original monitors that came in Nintendo cabs ran at lower voltage , I think at 110v . I think you might be under powering your monitor and would need a different isolation transformer .

heres the cab history: bought it for $250 Mk2 and Nba Jam TE Combo ( just had to switch the jamma) then i wanted to change it to a 60-in-1 muti-cab for classic arcade games. In the Process of mounting the monitor from horizontal to vertical i broke the the tube where the neck peace attaches. so i had a flat screen mointor from a old PC so i hooked that up for a little while but i didnt feel like the arcade so i bought a brand new 19" arcade monitor. But i cant get it to power on??? how do i tell what type of isolation transformer i need is there a number on it that tells how my volts its letting through? im getting a voltage meter here soon so i can show u guy many vlots the isolation transformer is Letting Through.
