Hey everybody, I have a Hantarex MTC 9110 and have tried searching the web for an isolation transformer and am not sure where to go or if some would sell me one or trade for one. I made the sad mistake of plugging the monitor in without using one. Saw a spark, heard a pop, and a got very faint burn smell (had to smell a few time to make sure I wasn't imagining things). I'm hoping it's just a fuse or something I'm new with these things. Can I buy these in a store or do I have to order? Any ideas would help. I spent a lot of time and put in a lot of effort in building this cabinet to stop now.

primary 120 V a.c. USA 220/240 V a.c.
secondary 128 V a.c. 150 W

Thanks everyone,

TID

Bob Roberts sells them for $12.00

If you've never purchased from Bob before, he only takes checks. You e-mail him and tell him what you need and include your name and address. he'll e-mail back with a total with shipping, you send the check and he sends the part. He ships pretty damn fast, too.

And if you hooked it up to power without the iso, you probably have a blown voltage regulator, and maybe some bad rectifying diodes...

You can also buy isolation transformers as well as other common game parts like coin chutes, pushbuttons, joysticks, etc from the parts department of your local amusement game distributor. If you had a "location" listed in your profile, we could direct you to a local company.

Just updated my info. Thanks for your help guys. I live in Lisle, IL.

Also remember that since you plugged it in without an isolation transformer, you likely blew a couple of diodes in the power supply, smoked the fuse, and possibly some other components.

But your first step is getting the isolation transformer to power the monitor before you can do any troubleshooting on it.
