Ok I need help again. I was yard selling when I came a cross some old radio tubes and to get them I had to buy the lot to get what I wanted. The guy said it came out of a old tv and radio repair shop. What the hell Are they and what do you do with them. Maybe someone here might need them that knows what they are? If you know what they are I am only asking for a fair trade.

Does that say "Short Burner" on it? looks like it. Maybe it is for burning shorts out of old radio tubes or something.

Looks homeade to me.

It might be an old tube tester. Not sure, before my time. I do know they used to have tube testers at hardware and electronics stores where you could test tubes out. Kinda like auto parts stores that check out your alternators and staters now.
Try finding a website where people restore old tube radios. Im sure you could find out what it is and sell it for a decent price.

I should really sell the boxes of tubes I ahve sitting around so I don't need to move them again... heh.

I'm sure you know but for those who do not, SOME of those old vacuum tubes, if they work, are worth a lot of money to the right people.

These were all from Navy short wave radios... I didn't have the room to take the radios, but I could fit the tubes... heh.
