Need for Speed Underground

Well this might be the problem...
Can you confirm you have a sata drive in your game not an ide?

The jumper on the old ide drive was set to CS in the first position. I did put the jumper on the sata drive in the same orientation.

I thought you said that you replaced the ide drive with a sata drive and an adapter.

Yup. That looks like an IDE. I know there is an SATA to IDE converter that is pretty cheap. It might be possible to just use a this converter and a cheap SATA drive. But I've never tried this.

No. I replaced mine with the same type of IDE hard drive.

So you have the recovery disc installed. But the game install disc is not installing?

No, when I put the recovery disk in it almost immediately goes to this screen. No way it installed anything in like seconds. I went through the whole process with the old hard drive and it was way longer ,lol.

I guess I am just gonna try and order a "new" ide hard drive. No way you got an ide drive from best buy in like the last 10 years though I'd bet.

For what it's worth. I just pulled my cabinet out and the hard drive I put in was a WD400 model.
