Got a stand-up Megatouch that needs a new flyback due to taking up to an hour for the monitor to fully brighten. It's not the tube. What I need help with is finding a compatible flyback for this chassis that I've never heard of or seen before...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Mike.

No, but I have had two monitors in the past that had this exact same "brightness taking forever" issue and a flyback fixed it both times. I'm only going off experience. Plus the image is gorgeous when it finally brightens up.

Necro-bumping this thread to say that I found a compatible replacement flyback for this chassis. After doing some Google searching of the Tatung flyback part number (TLF061A-01-12 722425BG), I discovered that there were a number of hits for it regarding Gauntlet Dark Legacy and San Francisco Rush. Knowing that both of those games do not use a 19" VGA Tatung monitor, but instead a 27" Neotec 2515C (or possibly a K7500), I theorized that the Neotec 2515C most likely was a compatible replacement flyback source. Today I decided to test my theory. I had a 'parts' Neotec 2515C sitting on the shelf. It was dead. I capped it and replaced the flyback and it was still dead, so I shelved it. I yanked it off the shelf, inspected the flyback and it had an identical footprint to the Tatung flyback. It was the same is size, shape, footprint, you name it. Even the neckboard of the two chassis' are extremely similar in design and layout. So I removed the Tatung flyback and installed the 2515C flyback on it, and....

Success! It fired right up, nice and bright with a great picture. So I can personally attest to the Neotec 2515C flyback being a valid compatible replacement for the Tatung VS20475T. Been running for over an hour with no issues. Hope this helps others. Thanks.
